ROCK OF AGES - One Young Man's Tribute To Our Soldiers and Vets

 We do not know who originated this wonderful item on the internet but we wish to acknowledge and thank the creator of the piece and the artist, Ray "Bubba" Sorensen, II, for their part in showing the American Spirit is still alive and well.

There is a huge rock near a gravel pit on Highway 25 in rural Iowa.  For generations, kids have painted slogans, names, and obscenities on this rock, changing its character many times.  A few months back, the rock received its latest paint job and since then it has been left completely undisturbed.  It's quite an impressive sight. Some people think the flag was draped over the rock, but it's not; it's actually painted on the rock, too!
